Short Stack Birds and The Bees video reaches #2
This week, Straighty180’s TV and Online campaign for the new Short Stack album helped rocket album sales to Number #1. This comes off the back of the success of the latest clip they did for Short Stack. It had 100,000 hits on youtube in its first week and has spent 2 months in the top 10 selling videos on itunes. It then went onto be the highest debuting song on the ARIA Singles charts this year, entering at #2.

But it is online where the clip really comes into it’s own and helped spread the clip beyond Short Stack’s normal fan base. The video contained a series of speech and thought bubbles. With the help of the Gingerbreadman, they designed an online widget that allowed kids to make their own customised speech and thought bubbles in their very own video. 1000s of them went onto share their vids on social networking sites.
