Hi Emily,
Thanks for your insightful analysis of my show!

I have tried hard not to simply produce images that objectify grief.

This is my debut exhibition and I'm thrilled at the support I have received.

Thanks to the guys behind this sight for adding my work to their forum!

This exhibition is well worth seeing. It takes a relevant social issue and captures the individual story of each widow without deliberately taking advantage of their sadness. At the same time it makes the viewer acutely aware of the damage caused by asbestos, each widow telling a different story about how it has affected her life. The photographer has managed to tell each story differently.
Even though the works are emotional, they capture the women intimately in their everyday environment, showing that life goes on. The viewer may find the images uplifting, as they offer a sense of realness and stoicism in the women.
It is clear that the photographer is both sensitive and empathetic. His woks are engaging and relevant. Well worth a look.
